Still have company.

Hi all, Life is just so crazy this year!
May be starting a new job which will be less time for crafting BUT more funding for materials so I am still excited.

We still have our friend staying with us so there is limited room for my crafting.

I am researching home business set ups as I would really like to be able to to one day work from home with my crafts.

I have only just got my computer back after it being fixed for the past month so that is also another reason for not posting.

I will make some post daily even if it is just sharing some cool videos that I have found helpful or inspiring.

Friend in Need

Hi all, I am still around. Just finished clearing out my craft room after almost having it set up the way I wanted but it is all for a good cause. We have a friend staying with us for a few months while her house is being renovated. A little bonus she is bringing her adorable dog and scruffy cat.

My crafting table is now in the lounge room so there wont be much going on. I do plan on doing some crochet seeing as the weather is cooling down once again. I have been wanting to try out a couple cute patterns I found in an old book or magazine.

I will be sure to keep you posted and will do my best to post more often.

Ready to Roll!

After looking at dozens of youtube videos on how to make baskets by weaving paper, I dragged out my stack of papers and started rolling!

I did start a project but found the roll very stiff and hard to work with on my first try at weaving with paper. I will try to roll some looser ones to practice weaving.

New look for my craft pictures

Ok I have been a little slack on posting as I go with my craft and findings. I need to make myself post each day even if I am not finished. My crafting is like my house cleaning. I will start on one thing, look for a tool, think of something else I can do with said tool and so on and so forth. It may be a little while until my projects are finish.

Also I wanted a neater look to my pictures that show my progress. I am liking this look at the moment. What do you think? I was trying to make one like you see the long ones on pinterest but the program I am using will not do what I tell it to. For now I will use this style.

DIY transfer paper

I was asked to make up some inspirational posters of my wife to put up at work for the clients and I jumped at the opportunity. Being all excited to finally have my crafting bug back I will agree to anything. One little problem, the little projects that I have managed over the past few years has been sewing and beading. I haven't tried to draw or print in many years and seeing as I don't want to spend a couple months practicing (I am Virgo, everything has to be perfect)

My organisation station

I have just been working on my craft room. Here is a organisation station that I made up from a cool box. When I have my crafts supplies topped up I think I will paper mache it. I got a little carried away with the purple duck tape. oops

Tools and Templates for Paper Beads

If you haven't tried to make paper beads before, you can start off by just using a toothpick or small knitting needle to wrap the paper around. Below are some pictures of tools you can purchase if you decide to make them on a larger scale. There is also a video on how to make using a toothpick a little easier also.
